Remember when many thought that the computer world would come to an end when the year 2000 arrived. Well, we are still here and it’s 2026. Those of you who read my Christmas article and are wondering what is so important to me about this year, here goes. This is the last year that my age will be in the 70’s and I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that by next year at this time I will be in the 80’s.
I know some of your reading this article are saying, so what! Many of you have been in the 80’s for some time and have become comfortable with it. I suppose I will as well after a while but right now I need more time to come to grips with it.
Like most at my time of life, I have a few problems and take a few medications. I still exercise regularly and have recently lost some weight. My back hurts and I walk a little differently. What I notice most is that my brain still tells me that I can do a lot of things but when I go to do them it’s a different story. I move slower but, so what. I still look forward to doing my own lawn work but am constantly being scolded and told I need help.
My last year in the 70’s is going to be interesting as I prepare to enter the unknown world of the 80’s.
